14+ days' notice prior to reservation date - full refund minus a 3% cancellation fee or right to reschedule the date. 13-0 days' notice prior to reservation date – no refunds and no right to reschedule. The Cincinnati Dinner Train strictly enforces a no refund policy at this point. At this point if you are unable to keep your reservation, for whatever reason, know that your tickets are transferrable and consider giving the tickets to family or friends. While onboard the train: Please know we are on a moving train and which at times, will be stopping and starting. Caution should always be used while on board. Although we are typically only traveling at 5 to 10 MPH, there will be occasional jolts and bumps. We strongly suggest you stay seated when we are approaching our final stop back at the boarding area. With occasional jolts when stopping, it is just not worth the risk to stand up to try and exit the train first. Patience is always best. Wait for the train to come to a complete stop before exiting. NOTE: We are NOT handicapped accessible (additional details regarding this can be found on our website FAQ.) The train has steep steps and are not easy to navigate boarding and de-boarding for those with canes, walkers, or weak knees.
Cincinnati Dinner Train is a smoke-free property. Federal regulations prohibit smoking anywhere when on the train. Electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco products and vaporizers are also not permitted.
The carrying of firearms on railroad property by other than duly authorized law enforcement officers is strictly prohibited by railroad rules and regulations. Riders observed carrying firearms may be removed from the train. Please advise all those in your party of these regulations to avoid disruption of your trip.
Dress Code: Dress attire is business casual or classier. Many folks enjoy dressing in 1940's attire, and we encourage this. Denim jeans are discouraged. Shorts are strictly prohibited. For safety purposes while boarding the train and walking between cars, we highly recommend wearing closed toed shoes with low heels. Guests are strongly discouraged from wearing high heeled or open toed shoes. Our majority of the parking lot is paved, however there is some gravel making it hard to walk in high heels. We cannot under any circumstance board passengers wearing flip flop or thong sandals.
Special Note: Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on the train.
Seat Assignment: We seat four (4) passengers to each table in the fashion of the 1940's railroad dining. If you are a party of two, please understand that you may be sitting with another couple and must sit together on one side of the table to insure both couples will enjoy a window seat. We have a limited number of 2-top tables and due to the high demand, they are sold out months in advance. At which time the only way to guarantee a table for two is to purchase a table to become private by purchasing the third & fourth ticket at the table. Keep in mind, parties not filling all seats at a table could have another ticket holder at their table. Parties of five are seated with three at one table and two at the table directly across the aisle. Parties of six are seated with four at one table and two directly across the aisle seated with another couple. In the case of seven, we will sit four at one table and three directly across from them. The occasional need to change a dining car assignment may be necessary to accommodate larger groups. We appreciate your cooperation in these special circumstances.
Please know that we cannot accept any meal changes within 7 days of your reservation.
