Fight Fake Flash (f3)

f3 is a suite of tools to identify fake flash drives, start with;
sudo apt install -y f3

  • f3probe - probe a block device for counterfeit flash memory
  • f3brew - help developers to infer how fake drives work
  • f3fix - edit the partition table of a fake flash drive
  • f3write, f3read - test real flash memory capacity
